Description
Join us to learn how to make charcoal for writing and drawing over the fire. We’ll collect the materials we need in the woodland and set the charcoal to cook on the fire. While it’s cooking, we’ll enjoy a hot drink and a snack – and then test our charcoal with some creative activities led by New Forest Writer in Residence (and children’s author) Yarrow Townsend.
We’ll be in the woodland for this session, so please dress for the outdoors and the weather and for messy writing and drawing with charcoal!
This session is recommended for adults and children aged 7 and over.
All children must be accompanied by a participating adult.
*minibus pick up from Brockenhurst station can be provided. Please let us know if this is something you require
